How Your Training Works
Online Theory
Complete your theory learning online before attending the practical element of your training.
The course is divided into structured modules with end of module assessments to check your understanding as you progress.
You can work through the learning at your own pace and revisit the course content when required.
In Person Practical Training
Following completion of your online theory, you will attend Sammys Aesthetics & Beauty Training Academy in Lancaster for your practical training.
During the practical element you will observe treatment techniques, practise under supervision and complete your practical competency assessment.
The practical assessment considers areas including professional conduct, consultation and consent, safe treatment delivery, technique, complication awareness and aftercare.
Entry Requirements
This course is suitable for learners who meet one of the following entry routes:
- Registered healthcare professionals including NMC, GMC, GDC or HCPC registrants
- NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy General
- Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology
- Practitioners with approximately 6 to 12 months experience in skin penetrating treatments such as microneedling, SPMU or tattooing, subject to insurance approval
You must hold or obtain appropriate insurance before offering treatments professionally.
The entry requirements are based on those specified within the accredited course material.
Assessment
Assessment takes place throughout the course.
You will complete:
- End of module theory quizzes
- Supervised practical training
- Practical competency assessment
You must successfully complete the required theory and practical elements before certification is awarded.
Certification
Following successful completion of the course and practical assessment, you will receive your Foundation Botulinum Toxin Training Course certificate.
This course is delivered through Sammys Aesthetics & Beauty Training Academy and is IPHM accredited.
