Develop your professional skincare skills with our IPHM-accredited Chemical Peel Facial Training Course at Sammys Aesthetics Beauty & Training in Galgate, Lancaster.
This course introduces the principles and practical skills involved in delivering superficial chemical peel facials using CLINICCARE products. Training combines tutor-led theory, a live demonstration and supervised practice on a live model, helping you connect product knowledge with individual client assessment and professional treatment delivery.
You will explore the complete treatment journey, from consultation and peel selection to application, aftercare and follow-up. The emphasis is on understanding the skin, following the correct product protocol and recognising when treatment should be adapted, postponed or stopped.
What Is a Chemical Peel Facial?
A superficial chemical peel is a professional exfoliation treatment that acts on the outer layers of the skin. A selected chemical formulation helps loosen and remove surface skin cells, revealing a fresher, smoother-looking complexion.
Depending on the formulation and the client’s suitability, superficial peels may improve the appearance of dullness, rough texture, congestion, uneven pigmentation and fine lines. Results vary, and treatment planning should reflect the individual rather than a standard approach for every client.
This course focuses on superficial cosmetic treatments. Medium-depth and deep peeling procedures are outside its scope.
What You Will Learn
Introduction to Chemical Peels
Understand how chemical exfoliation works, the differences between peel depths and the potential benefits and limitations of superficial treatments. Explore common exfoliating ingredients and why acid percentage alone does not determine a peel’s strength or suitability.
Consultation and Informed Consent
Learn to gather relevant information about the client’s medical history, medication, allergies, current skincare, previous treatments and treatment goals. Develop your ability to explain the proposed treatment, discuss possible reactions and establish realistic expectations before obtaining informed consent.
Skin Assessment and Contraindications
Identify skin type and current skin condition, including dryness, dehydration, sensitivity, congestion and inflammation. Consider skin integrity, previous pigmentation changes and factors that may affect recovery. Learn to recognise contraindications and circumstances requiring postponement or further advice.
CLINICCARE Product Knowledge
Explore the treatment focuses of the CLINICCARE GLOW, PURE and REFRESH range, together with the role of Peel Blender. Understand how ingredients contribute to each formulation and why the exact product version and current professional instructions must be checked before use.
Product selection and practical application are limited to the formulations and superficial protocols covered during your training.
Treatment Preparation and Procedure
Learn to prepare your equipment, products, treatment area and client. The procedure covers cleansing, product-specific preparation, controlled application, timing, skin monitoring and appropriate removal or neutralisation.
You will also learn to maintain communication with the client, avoid product pooling and recognise when the skin response requires treatment to stop.
Skin Reactions and Aftercare
Distinguish expected temporary responses from concerning reactions. Understand the appropriate immediate actions, when to seek further assistance and how to document an incident.
Develop clear aftercare advice covering gentle skincare, sun protection, temporary restrictions and symptoms requiring review. Learn to assess recovery before recommending further treatment.
Practical Training
Your practical session takes place at our salon in Galgate, Lancaster. You will watch a tutor demonstration before performing a superficial chemical peel facial on a live model under supervision.
During practice, you can ask questions, receive feedback and develop your technique. Assessment considers the complete treatment process, including consultation, suitability, consent, preparation, product selection, application, monitoring, aftercare and record keeping.

The course is delivered through one day of face-to-face training, including theory, demonstration and supervised practical assessment.
