These Terms and Conditions apply when you purchase or access an online course through Sammys Aesthetics Beauty & Training, operated by Sammy’s Cosmetic Aesthetics Ltd.
Please read these terms before purchasing. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by them.
Our Courses
Our online courses provide structured educational content, learning materials, assessments and, where stated, an accredited digital certificate.
The content, accreditation, entry requirements, price and learning outcomes for each course are described on the relevant course page.
We may make reasonable updates to course content to maintain accuracy, quality, safety or regulatory relevance.
Eligibility and Entry Requirements
Students are responsible for checking the stated entry requirements before purchasing.
Certain courses may require an existing qualification, professional experience, insurance or supervised practical training before the learner can perform treatments professionally.
We may request evidence of qualifications or identity where this is necessary to confirm eligibility or protect the integrity of certification.
Purchasing or completing a course does not guarantee eligibility for professional insurance, employment, licensing or acceptance onto further training. Students should confirm their individual requirements with the relevant insurer, employer, regulator or local authority.
Orders and Payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling. Any applicable VAT will be displayed at checkout.
Full payment or an approved payment arrangement must be completed before course access is provided.
Where Klarna or another payment provider is selected, the student also enters into a separate agreement with that provider. Missed payments, eligibility decisions and payment-provider charges are governed by the provider’s own terms.
We may refuse or cancel an order where:
- Payment has not been authorised
- The product was incorrectly priced
- Fraud or misuse is suspected
- The student does not meet a stated entry requirement
- The purchase appears intended to copy, distribute or misuse course content
If we cancel an order before course access begins, any payment received will be refunded.
Digital Course Access
Course access will normally be provided after successful payment.
Access is issued to the named student only. Login details must not be shared, sold, transferred or used by another person.
Students receive lifetime access while the course remains available and Sammys Aesthetics Beauty & Training continues to operate the relevant learning platform. Lifetime access does not mean the natural lifetime of the student.
We may replace, update or reorganise materials without reducing the essential learning content of the course.
Access may be suspended where there is evidence of account sharing, attempted copying, misuse, abusive behaviour or a breach of these terms.
Cancellation and Refunds
Online courses contain digital content.
Students may request cancellation within 14 days of purchase if course access has not begun.
Where a student requests immediate access, they must expressly consent to the digital content being supplied during the 14-day cancellation period and acknowledge that their cancellation right will be lost once access begins.
Once course access has begun following that consent and acknowledgement, the purchase is non-refundable for change-of-mind purposes.
Refund requests must be emailed to sales@sammyscosmeticaesthetics.co.uk.
Nothing in these terms limits the student’s statutory rights where digital content is faulty, unavailable, not as described or cannot be supplied.
Approved refunds will be returned through the original payment method. Where a payment plan was used, the refund will be processed through the relevant payment provider.
Transfers
Course purchases are personal to the named student.
Courses, accounts, course access, assessment results and certificates cannot be transferred to another person or exchanged for another course.
Assessments and Completion
Students must complete all required units, activities and assessments.
The required assessment pass mark is 80% unless a different mark is clearly stated on the course page.
Completion is not based solely on purchasing or viewing the course. All required learning and assessment requirements must be met.
We reserve the right to review assessment activity where plagiarism, impersonation, unauthorised assistance or other academic misconduct is suspected.
Digital Certificates
A digital certificate is included when the named student:
- Completes every required unit
- Completes all required assessments
- Achieves the required 80% pass mark
- Meets any additional completion requirements stated on the course page
Printed certificates are not included.
Certificates are issued in the name registered on the student’s account. Students must ensure that their name is entered correctly before completing the course.
We may request identification before changing a certificate name or issuing a replacement.
A certificate may be withheld or withdrawn where there is evidence of impersonation, plagiarism, account sharing, falsified entry qualifications or assessment misconduct.
Accreditation and Professional Practice
Courses described as IPHM-accredited have been accredited through the relevant accreditation process.
Accreditation does not automatically make a course a regulated qualification. A course should only be described as regulated, nationally recognised or equivalent to a particular qualification where this is expressly stated on its course page.
Students are responsible for checking whether a course meets the requirements of their insurer, employer, professional body, local authority or country of practice.
Course completion does not replace any legally required licence, regulated qualification, medical registration, supervision or professional insurance.
Student Responsibilities
Students agree to:
- Provide accurate registration information
- Keep login details secure
- Complete their own assessments
- Use course materials only for personal learning
- Follow professional, ethical and safety guidance
- Check relevant insurance and legal requirements before practising
- Treat tutors, staff and other students respectfully
Students must not reproduce, record, sell, distribute, upload or share any course content without written permission.
Intellectual Property
All course materials, including written content, manuals, diagrams, videos, assessments, downloads, graphics and branding, remain the intellectual property of Sammys Aesthetics Beauty & Training or the relevant rights holder.
Purchasing a course gives the student a personal, limited and non-transferable right to access the materials for their own education.
It does not transfer ownership or grant permission to teach, reproduce, adapt, publish, resell or distribute the content.
Unauthorised copying or distribution may result in course access being removed and further action being taken.
Technical Requirements and Availability
Students are responsible for having:
- A suitable internet connection
- A compatible phone, tablet or computer
- An up-to-date browser
- A working email address
- The ability to open any required documents or learning materials
We aim to keep the academy available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access at all times. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, updates, hosting problems or events outside our reasonable control.
Where a significant technical problem prevents access, students should contact us so that we can investigate and restore access within a reasonable period.
Educational Information
Course materials are provided for education and professional development.
They do not constitute medical diagnosis, personal medical advice, legal advice or insurance advice.
Students must work within their own qualifications, competence, insurance and professional scope of practice.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or the student’s statutory consumer rights.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.
We do not guarantee employment, earnings, business success, insurance approval or permission to perform a particular treatment after completing a course.
For students purchasing wholly or mainly for business purposes, we are not responsible for loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities or other indirect business losses.
Privacy
Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information relating to accounts, orders, course progress, assessments and certificates may be retained where necessary to provide the course, verify achievement and meet legal or accounting requirements.
Complaints
If a student has a concern, they should contact us with:
- Their full name
- Order number
- Course title
- A clear explanation of the issue
- Any relevant screenshots or supporting information
We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms where our services, technology or legal obligations change.
The terms in force when a course is purchased will normally apply to that purchase unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed with the student.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Consumers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory rights available where they live and may bring proceedings in the appropriate UK courts.
